Dec 12, 2023Wendy's launches Boo! Bags meals with new collectibles
Wendy's has options for kids and kids-at-heart ("kidults") this Halloween season.
After the release of its Frosty Frights Kids Meals in September, which come with a specialty toy, the burger chain decided it wasn't fair only its youngest patrons get a Halloween treat. The Wendy's Boo! Bags, which launched Monday, are the fast-food chain's solution.
Coming with a grown-up-sized choice of meal, the new festive bundles also come with collectible figurines and a specialty Boo! coupon book. As a bonus, some of the proceeds go to a charity that helps more children get adopted out of foster care.
Wendy's is only offering its spooky selection for a limited time. Here's what to know and how to get one.
Wendy's Boo! Bags come with a Dave’s Single burger, small fry, small Frosty, a glow-in-the-dark Bone Chiller Frosty figure and a Boo! Book.
Boo! Books are filled with coupons for five free Jr. Frosty treats, and a sixth coupon to redeem a $1.99 Wendy's kids' meal with any purchase. For each $1 Boo! Books coupon book sold in a Boo! Bag or individually, Wendy's will donate $0.90 to The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
Wendy's launched another Halloween menu item, Frosty Frights kids’ meals, on Sept. 3. As part of the promotion, every Wendy's kids' meal, which features a choice of 4-piece chicken nuggets or a hamburger or cheeseburger with a junior fry or apple bites and a kid's drink, also comes with a toy inspired by the Frosty treat.

There are 11 figurines to collect, including characters like Franken Frosty, Frosty Bite, Coolie Ghoulie, Brrr Beast and Cold Spell. Accompanying Boo! Books are available for $1.
Wendy's began offering Boo! Bags on Monday, Oct. 21 nationwide.
Boo! Books are available for purchase now through November 3 at participating U.S. Wendy's locations, with coupons valid through December 31, 2024.
Visit your nearest Wendy's to pick up one of the spooky meals. There are 298 locations to choose from in California, including 11 in San Diego, eight in Fresno, six in Bakersfield, and five stores in Riverside.
Customers that would like to purchase a Boo! Book separately can order via the mobile app or through Wendy's self-order kiosks under the "Give Something Back" category. Fans can also add any size soft drink to their Boo! Bag for $1 for a limited time.
Wendy's joins the likes of McDonald's popular Boo Buckets, which returned on Oct. 15, and Dunkin's Munchkins Bucket, a Halloween-themed bucket that can be filled with a 50-count assortment of Munchkins Donut Hole Treats.
