Rapp’s Barren donates to Backpack Food 4 Kids after record ARktoberfest turnout - Mountain Home Observer

Rapp’s Barren Brewing Company hosted the 3rd Annual ARktoberfest Oct. 12 on the Square in Mountain Home’s Baker District and saw its largest crowd yet, with over 3,000 guests attending from as far west as Denver, as far east as Atlanta and as far south as New Orleans.

ARktoberfest is an annual event held by Rapp’s Barren, again donating 100% of proceeds to the Backpack Food 4 Kids program in the Twin Lakes area. Rapp’s Barren was thrilled to raise and present a check of $24,991.16, plus a handful of late donations, pushing the grand total donation over $25,000.

This sum is estimated to fund an entire 6 month period of operations for the organization.

Backpack Food 4 Kids was organized to make certain that students in the Twin Lakes area with food insecurities have easy and ready to eat meals provided to them at no cost and are distributed discreetly through local school systems, every week filling a backpack of a child in need with non-perishable food.

Rapp’s would like to thank our community partners and sponsors Anstaff Bank, Jack’s Package Store, Paul Gigliotti of Pirate Perry’s Events, Marchant Lumber, Green Mountain Home Improvement, Dauna Powell of Peglar Real Estate, Farmer’s and Merchant’s Bank, Sharp Edges Axe Throwing, Space Walk Bounce Houses, Greg’s Farm Services, City of Mountain Home, David with Baxter County OEM, Mountain Home A&P, Yellcot, and our industry partners Proximity Malt and participating breweries that attended to kick off a stellar event for our guests.

Lastly, Rapp’s wants to thank all of the attendees that came to ARktoberfest! Without the community support, this fundraiser would not have been possible, and we are grateful for that. Rapp’s Barren is proud to be able to host great entertainment while still giving back to the community in which it was built and will continue to do so.
